The enamel is literally flawless: completely free of the typical flaking, hairline fractures, or any other wear that could be found even under a 10x magnification. The enamel retains all of its beautiful original luster. The original fire gilt finish on the cannon and black finish on the binoculars are perfectly preserved as well. The screw post is full length, over 10 mm. Comes with an original screw plate maker-marked "Arts Fund Workshop". To summarize, this badge is a perfect example that simply cannot be upgraded.
