General's field or service belt with a shoulder strap, circa mid-1970s - 1980s.
In brown leather with a "cut-out star" buckle in gilded brass. The buckle is of the late model featuring the Soviet state emblem. Belts of this type were authorized exclusively for generals and manufactured to the highest quality standard. The shoulder strap matches the belt perfectly and is clearly original to it.
Large size: the belt measures 40.5" in overall length. When fully extended, it will fit up to about 39" waist, but if desired, an extra hole can be made to fit a smaller waist size.

supple, free of tears or serious scuffs. There is a minimal amount of tarnish on the buckle that should disappear with an application of brass
polish such as Simichrome (in our opinion, the brass shows just the right amount of character and is best left the way it is, so we will leave
it up to the next owner.)
