Very fine to excellent condition. There are many tiny dings, minor scratches and contact marks, primarily on the reverse, but the raised details of the portraits and writing are still nicely preserved. The reverse has a singe small nick to the edge at approximately 4 o'clock, but the medal is free of significant edge knocks or bumps. The patina to silver is uniform and attractive. Comes on original WW2 period suspension device, a two-layer model in steel with self-locking pin. The perfectly preserved clean ribbon is old, although of more recent vintage than the medal itself. The silver connecting link appears to be original, and its ends are still joined with solder.
