There were only 4789 issued of both versions combined, a small number by Soviet standards, so the medal is relatively scarce.

Excellent condition. There are a couple of miniscule dings to the edge and tiny scratches on the reverse, but the medal is completely free of bumps, nicks or any other significant wear. Very attractive even dark toning throughout.
