In silver; measures 27.8 mm wide; weighs 12.1 g not including the ribbon and connecting link. Cyrillic maker mark "AG" to the undercut of the shoulder.
In very fine condition. The details of the bas-relief portrait and lettering on the obverse as well as the crown and dates on the reverse are extremely well-preserved and crisp. There is a mild edge knock on the obverse at approx. 11 o'clock and a couple of mild bumps on the reverse at 4 and 6 o'clock, none of them too detractive. Otherwise, the raised border has only a few tiny dings that are almost unnoticeable while the main portion of the medal appears nearly pristine to the naked eye. Both sides exhibit beautiful even toning to silver.
The medal comes on a relatively recent St. Alexander Nevsky ribbon in silk moiré; the connecting link is a replica.
