VLKSM Medal for Protecting the Environment, circa late 1980s.

In brass, enamel and lacquer; medallion measures approx. 26 mm in height incl. eyelet, 23 mm in width. Diamond-shaped pendant shows hands protecting a growing plant. The suspension device with green ribbon and stylized letters "VLKSM" has late-style round logo of the Moscow Mint on the reverse. In excellent condition.
