M 1955 Navy Officer Service Belt with Dagger Hangers, circa 1970s-80s.

In sturdy black silk ribbon backed with an equally sturdy black velvet lining. Anchors and stars decorate the very heavy brass buckles on the dagger strap and the large round buckle on the front. Its construction is somewhat simplified compared with the similar belts from the 50s or 60s: note for example the absence of leather adjustment straps. The brass buckles are of hollow construction, less massive than on the earlier dagger belts, but the quality is still there. The belt will fit up to a 42" waist, easily adjustable to a smaller size.

In excellent condition. The black ribbon

In excellent condition. The black ribbon obverse shows virtually no wear and the velvet lining has none of the occasional bald spots that belts like this frequently display.

This type of belt is somewhat more scarce than the gold parade belt. It would be the perfect complement to any Soviet naval dagger from late 1950s-1991.
