Manufactured in February 1945 at the Krasnokamsk Mint, this piece is among the very early suspension type Red Banners of Labor. Unlike most, it was awarded either during WW2 or in the first months after the war and without a doubt, for wartime achievements. The mint mark is in straight lines, approx. 8 mm in width. In excellent condition. The enamel is essentially perfect, without detectable wear except for a few microscopic surface flakes that are completely invisible to the naked eye and not easy to find even under 10x magnification. The fire gilt is very nicely preserved. Very attractive toning to silver throughout. Comes with original suspension, a WW2 two-layer model in steel with self-locking pin. He nicely preserved ribbon is old, although not of the same age as the award itself. Note that it is wrapped "in reverse", apparently as worn by the original recipient. The connecting link appears to be original and its ends are still joined with solder. Overall, this is a beautiful example of an early, WW2-era Red Banner of Labor!
