There are some miniscule hairlines in the upper left corner and a few microscopic contact marks elsewhere, but the enamel is free of significant wear. The black enamel in the letters is likewise intact. The original silver plating is well- preserved showing only modest wear to the high points - very uncommon for this badge- while the details of the Lenin's bas-relief are nearly pristine and very crisp.

The screw post is approx. 5.5 mm in length, apparently reduced by a few mm for convenience but still more than sufficient for proper functionality. Comes with original maker marked screw plate in copper-plated magnetic steel dated "1939". The threads of the screw are intact and the screw plate fits perfectly.
