Parachute Jump badge, 1936 type, circa mid- to late-1940s issue.

Brass, silver plating, enamels; 39.5 x 17.6 mm. Early version with smooth, slightly concaved reverse.

In very fine to excellent condition. The enamel is overall well-preserved, much better than on most contemporary paratrooper badges. The red enamel on the star and the white enamel have only minor rubbing and microscopic contact marks, appear perfect to the naked eye. The blue enamel has a couple of tiny flakes near the bottom, tiny hairlines at the feet of the paratrooper, and some tiny contact marks throughout, none of which is easily noticeable without magnif
