Stalin's Bust in glazed porcelain by the famous Lomonosovskiy Porcelain Factory in Leningrad, mid 1940s - mid 1950s.
By the renowned sculptors Ingal and Bagolyubov, famous for their portraits of both Stalin and Lenin.

Classic image, looking determined and wearing the uniform he affected from mid-WW2 until the end of his life. This porcelain bust is far more uncommon than any of the metal ones. Stands approx. 7 3/4 " tall (in overall height) on 3 5/16 " by 2 5/8" plinth, ideal for desktop or bookcase display.

In outstanding, excellent condition. The glaze finish is essentially perfect, with just normal age, no chips or significant marks. Bottom shows blue Cyrillic maker mark "

It is interesting to note that the Lomonosovskiy bust of Lenin designed to be companion piece to this has the same proportions but is on a smaller base, thereby allowing the Stalin bust to dominate when the two are displayed together!
