Red Army Photo ID issued on 17 May 1942 to Battalion
Commissar (rank equivalent of captain) Pavel Bychkov.
Hard covered, bound in blue leatherette, approx. 9 x 6 cm.
The photograph page is signed by the commander of the Army
Evacuation Center #165, Military Doctor 1st cl. A. Bidenko.
Note that the photo shows Bychkov wearing an M-35 tunic with
Artillery collar tabs insignia, so he apparently had
previously served in the artillery.
The opposite page shows that Bychkov was appointed to his
current position of the military commissar of the Field
Hospital #3331 on 26 July 1941. The ID has his brief
biographical data: born in 1907 in the Kharkov Region of
Ukraine, married; also shows that he was issued a Star
pistol (in 1941, by the Kiev garrison) and a TT Tokarev
The ID is in excellent condition. The cover shows light wear
to the edges and some minor wrinkles but is otherwise intact
and sound. The photo show minor pealing but the internal
pages are otherwise pristine and crisp
