Aluminum, paint; measures 21.7 mm in height x 28.6 mm in width. Shows the Young Pioneer bugle and with inscription in Latvian. Excellent condition.

The badge was reportedly issued - apparently very sparingly - to the Latvian Young Pioneers of higher ages (typically students in 5th-8th grade of secondary school) for qualifying to be a leader of younger-age pioneers. The award came in two levels, the 1st being the lower and 2nd the higher.
