Very fine to excellent condition. The deep-red enamel is slightly dulled but retains enough translucency to reveal the herringbone pattern underneath. The enamel has a single minuscule surface flake near the edge at approx. 9 o'clock, no other wear visible even under a 10x magnification. The details of Stalin's bas-relief are nearly pristine, and a good amount of its silver finish is still present. The silver plating on the reverse is perfect. The attachment wires are intact and tight. The screw post is full length, well over 9.5 mm. Comes with original maker-marked screw plate which is somewhat loose due to the worn threads but will stay in place if undisturbed.
This badge was reportedly issued to best workers ("udarniks" or shock workers) and was supposed to be worn with a red bow.
