In light nonferrous metal, paints and clear resin; measures 25 mm in height, 22 mm in width. Excellent condition, minor cracks to the clear resin at the bottom are barely noticeable and not detractive. The pin attachment is intact and fully functional.

The Young Paramedic badge was awarded to members of "Thalmann Pioneers", the East German communist youth association for students of grades 4 through 7 who completed a paramilitary course as a field medic, part of the overall military preparedness program.
