Group of Two Documents to Alekssandr Chernov (Александр Петрович Чернов), serviceman of the 170th Road Construction Battalion.

Award Certificate for the Medal for Victory over Japan, Series "B" #446251, issued on 1 May 1946. Shows an ink stamp of the 170th Order of the Red Star Road Construction Battalion and hand-signed by its temporary commander Major Rudenko.

The document is in very good condition. There are some wrinkles but no tears or other significant wear. There is a single small oily stain on the spine at the top edge, which is not too detractive, and just a tiny amount of soiling on the cover. The paper shows only normal age toning; the stamp and handwritten entries are perfectly

Award Certificate for the Medal for Victory over Germany, Series "Eh" #0221651, issued on 30 June 1946. Shows an ink stamp of the 170th Order of the Red Star Road Construction Battalion and hand-signed by its commander Major Rudenko. Note that Rudenko is referred to as a temporary commander of the battalion in the Victory over Japan document - chronologically the first of the two award certificates - but he had been permanently appointed as the unit commander by the end of June when the Victory over Germany document was filled out.

The document is in very good to excellent condition. It shows almost no wear and only a very light staining, mostly on the exterior and not detractive. The stamp and hand-written entries are perfectly legible.
