Badge of a Participant of the 1978 Communist Party Conference of the Kirov District of the City of Riga, Latvian SSR.

Silver-plated brass, "cold" enamel; measures 32.4 mm wide. The center features a bas-relief portrait of Sergei Kirov, a Bolshevik leader assassinated in 1934 on Stalin's orders. The inscription is in Russian. A very well-made piece. Excellent condition.
