There are only a few tiny dings to the raised edge, no significant wear of any kind. Comes on original suspension in steel with an old, obviously original ribbon which shows just a tiny amount of wear along the edges, practically no soiling and is overall, beautifully preserved. This is through-and-through a superb example of the Fatherland Liberation War Medal.
Established in 1953, the medal was awarded during 1954-55. It was issued to partisans, Chinese People's Army "volunteers" who had fought in the Korean War, North Korean combatants who had been honorably discharged from the military prior to the end of the war, and non-combatants who had contributed to the war effort. In general, the medal is fairly common, but it is rare to find in a condition as pristine as the example offered here.
