In olive drab wool gabardine with sky-blue band and piping. Gold embroidery around the hat badge and gold embroidered Air Force wings on the crown. Gold filigree chin cord. Features characteristically large "oversized" crown and patent leather visor with felt underside. Red silk tape threads through the leather sweatband to allow a customized fit, a feature unique to general officer hats. The two-piece hat badge is also the type specific to generals. Excellent condition. There is a nice overall patina of age but no visible wear. The hat is completely free of moth bites or tracks. Both the
interior and exterior are immaculately clean. Overall, a superb example!
