Badge of a Czechoslovak Partisan, Type 2, circa late 1940s.

In silver-plated brass; measures 47.0 mm in height, 49.2 mm in width; weighs 23.6 g not including the screw plate. Features a beautiful high-relief depiction of a WW2 partisan holding a Soviet-made PPSh submachine gun with the inscription "CS PARTIZAN" in the upper left.

The badge is in excellent condition. The details are perfect and crisp; the silver plating is pristine, creating the impression that the badge is made of solid silver. Very attractive even patina throughout. The screw post is of full length, approx. 8.5 mm. The screw plate is a replacement.

The award was established soon after the war, in 1946. Its dynamic design and precise execution make it a real standout - possibly the best-looking of the partisan awards of all the East Bloc / Communist countries.
