WW2 Trench Art Cigarette or Rolling Tobacco Case, 1942.
In aluminum, measures approx. 97 x 79 x 23 mm. The lid is decorated with patriotic-themed engraved artwork and dated 1942. The lid opens on two rivets serving as hinges, and has a latch. The latch and sides are decorated with a floral design.
In excellent condition. The lid and latch are in perfect working order; the hinge rivets are reasonably tight and strong. The external surfaces show just an occasional scuff or oxidation spot, enhancing the air of age and authenticity. The year is somewhat worn off but still quite legible. The inner surfaces are mostly clean, with just a coup
