Very fine to excellent condition. There is a single scuff to the sky-blue enamel paint in the center, not too detractive. The details of the eagle and wreath are perfectly preserved and crisp; both the silver and gold finish show no noticeable wear. The screw post is full length, approx. 10 mm, and includes the original retaining nut and maker-marked screw plate.

The badge was established in 1973 and came in four classes, the first class being the highest. In 1991, it was replaced by a new version without the communist-era state emblem.
