Excellent condition throughout. The red and black enamel on the arms in particular is exceptionally well preserved: it shows a beautiful luster and is completely free of any wear visible to the naked eye; there are only a few microscopic contact marks, all of them totally unnoticeable without magnification. The center medallion on both sides is essentially pristine, with the enamel and artwork perfect and intact. Comes with a connecting loop in what appears to be solid gold (not tested for gold content.)
This piece is a classic Order of St. Vladimir of the late pre-WW1 - early WW1 era, an official issue commissioned by the Kapitul
(Chancellery) of Russian Orders as opposed to those made privately. Condition-wise, it is a truly superb example.
