Germany, Third Reich, Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 1939 II. Klasse), 1939-45 issue.
Iron core with black finish and silver frame; measures 48.1 mm in height incl. eyelet, 44.5 mm in width; weighs 17.0 g without the suspension ring and ribbon. No maker marks.

Good soldering, no cracks or separation. The black paint has fine craquelure visible under magnification but is otherwise completely intact, free of chips, rust or flaking. Attractive tarnish to the silver frame. Includes original 12" ribbon with nice age toning and faint, barely noticeable staining on the front that doesn't detract. A classic EK2.
