Saint Petersburg Imperial Society of Trotting Horse Racing, Table Medal for Superior Appearance, 1902-1917.
In bronze, 51.0 mm wide; weighs 56.3 g. Unsigned but the engraver is known to be A. Griliches Jr. The obverse has a nicely detailed image of a bridled horse and raised inscription "For Superior Appearance". The inscription on the reverse is "Imperial St. Petersburg Society of Trotter Racing".
Very fine to excellent condition. There are tiny edge knocks along the outer rim and slight dings and contact marks elsewhere, none of them very noticeable. The raised artwork and lettering are nicely preserved and crisp. Attractive even chocolate toning throughout, free of blemis
