Silver gilt and enamels, 60.2 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 54.9 mm in width, weighs 41.1 g. The obverse center medallion is in brass and portrays profile of female head of Liberty, surrounded by a green-enameled ring inscribed MERITO MILITAR. The reverse center medallion is encircled in a brass ring inscribed REPUBLICA DOS ESTADOS UNIDOS DO BRASIL 1934. The neck ribbon is 35 cm long with silk ties.
In very fine condition. The badge has one small chip to the white enamel at the edge on the reverse of the 6 o'clock arm and a very mild edge bump in the same location.
