Postcard Happy Victory Day, inscribed, 1974.
The size is 5 ½" x 3 ½", marked "unmailable without a cover" but postally marked and used. Published by the Visual Art Publishing House, circulation unknown. The artwork on the obverse is a rendition of the monument to the Soviet Warrier-Liberator in Treptower Park, Berlin, Germany. The artist's name, V. Panov, is printed in the lower left-hand corner on the verso. The postcard was sent from Riga, Latvian SSR, to Kiev, Ukrainian SSR. The Latvian postal cancel is visible only partially on top of the divider. The Kiev cancel is clear and legible at the bottom.

In very good condition. The obverse has a line of black postal dye, most likely resulting from faulty mail processing equipment. The wear is not obscuring the artwork. The inscription on the verso contains well wishes on occasion of the Victory Day; crisp and perfectly legible.
