The size is continental standard 6" x 4", postally unused, published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation unknown. The photo presents a view of the Moscow Kremlin from the Kamennyy ("Stone") Bridge across the Moskva River. The inscription on the verso was apparently written by an aspiring actor hoping to land a part in a movie to be shot in the Soviet Union. The abundance of various kinds of mistakes in the message makes the reader believe that basic literacy was not a job requirement in the film industry. However, the author of the message had his heart in the right place and expressed his joy over the visit of a "high official of the Soviet Union" to the United States, probably referring to the Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev's 1959 visit when he met President Eisenhower and toured the country.

In very good condition. The verso shows a mild water stain to the upper right-hand corner and minor traces of ink. The ink of the message on the verso is slightly blurred along the edges but the wording remains perfectly clear and legible.
