Postal Cover with a view on Old Tallinn, Estonian SSR, artist identified on verso, 1974.
The size is 6 ½" x 4 ½", postally unused, published by the Ministry of Communications of the USSR, circulation unknown. The artist's name, A. Saltanov, is printed on the lower flap of the verso. The artwork is captioned in Russian and Estonian. The pre-printed government postal stamp with the emblems of the USSR and its Communist Party is one of the most commonly used designs of that period, symbolizing the union of the state and party rule.
In excellent condition. Rather uncommonly, the cover is made of unbleached paper.
