The postcard is #8 of a series presenting revolution-themed posters, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. The artist's name, N. Dolgorukov, is printed in the lower left-hand corner on the verso. The quote under the artwork is a line from a poem by Vladimir Mayakovsky, a famous Russian and Soviet poet and a great Bolshevik sympathizer. Roughly translated, it says "Who is the temporary here?
