The size is continental standard 6" x 4", unmailable without a cover. Published by The Soviet Artist Publishing House as part of the series "Art Exhibition Soviet Russia", circulation 20,000, very small by Soviet standards. The artist's name, A. Deyneka, is printed in the lower left-hand corner on the verso. The artwork is an offset print of Deyneka's 1959-1960 oil-on-canvas painting which was first shown at the Soviet Russia art exhibition in 1960. The slogans on the red banners carried by the demonstrators read "All Power to the Soviets" and "Peace to all the World," nic

The Narva Triumphal Arch, erected in 1814 in St. Petersburg to commemorate the Russian victory over Napoleon, was probably chosen by the artist intentionally, as a symbol of yet another victory, this time of the Soviets over their own country.

In excellent, near-mint condition, showing just microscopic corner bumps.

Aleksandr Deyneka (1899 - 1969), a native of Kursk, was a Soviet painter, graphic artist and sculptor, regarded as one of the most significant modernist painters of the first half of the 20th century.
