Invitation Card / Pass #1708 to Left Grandstand 4 in Red Square, Moscow, issued for VIP viewing of the 7 November 1940 military parade and demonstration in celebration of the 23rd anniversary of the October Revolution. The text at the very bottom of the pass reads "Valid only upon presentation of the passport," meaning the internal Soviet photo ID which was called "passport" but was not valid for international travel. The pass bears the name of Commissar of State Security Vlasik, Head of the Kremlin Security and Stalin's personal bodyguard until Stalin's death.

Invitation Card / Pass #2625 to the Right Grandstand #7 in Red Square, Moscow, for VIP viewing of the 7 November 1963 military parade and demonstration in celebration of the 46th anniversary of the October Revolution. The pass specifies the grandstand number and, in small print below, the way to reach it. Access to Red Square during parades and demonstrations was strictly controlled, so these directions were quite necessary.
