The Rybinsk school, located in the Volga port city of Rybinsk, was an old and venerable establishment. It opened in 1876 specifically to prepare highly qualified cadres for the Russian river fleet. During the Soviet era, its full name was Order of the Badge of Honor Rybinsk School of Water Transport named after V.I. Kalashnikov. The school is open to this day as a part of the Volga State University of River Transportation. Despite its simple construction, the 1970s graduation badge of this school is very scarce.
