Online research showed that Olga's husband, Col. Gen. Andrey Getman (Андрей Лаврентьевич Гетман), was an outstanding and highly decorated military leader, then Commander of the Separate Mechanized Army. Military Unit 06667 seen in the seal belonged to the Staff of the Separate Mechanized Army, m/u 11705 was assigned to its command. The Separate Mechanized Army was formed in December 1947 in Rumania, comprised of three mechanized divisions and with the staff HQ stationed in Bucharest. In the summer of 1957 the army began withdrawal from Rumania to Ukraine. As for Col. Gen. Getman, at the time this ID was issued to his wife, he was two months away from being appointed Commander of the Carpathian Military District.
In May 1965, then General of the Army Andrey Getman was given the Gold Star of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin issued with the Star for successful military leadership, and personal courage during WW2. This award crowned a long list of other Soviet and foreign awards received before and after Hero of the Soviet Union. He died in Moscow in 1987 and was buried at the Novodevichye Cemetery, the place of internment of many Russian and Soviet dignitaries.
