Outstanding, excellent condition. The raised details are untouched by wear or cleaning; the attachment rivets are sound and tight. The silver plating is nearly perfect, at first glance creating an impression that the badge is made of solid silver; only a careful examination with the 10x loupe reveals a tiny amount of wear to the silver finish at the raised points of the artwork. The gilt finish on the anchors is pristine. The screw post is of full length, nearly 23 mm long. The badge includes the original wing nut maker-marked "Kortman" and a washer that is of the period and probably also original to the badge.
