Copper, enamel; 19.7 mm wide; weighs 2.8 g without the screw plate, 4.2 g overall. Shows black silhouette of Lenin with the dates of his life "1870-1924".
In excellent condition. The black enamel is free of chips or flaking, and has only microscopic traces of wear. There is an attractive even toning to the copper on both sides. The screw post is of full length, approx. 8 mm, and comes with the original screw plate marked with name and address of the manufacturer "Vsekokhudozhnik, Moscow. #11 Kuznetskiy Most" The screw plate is somewhat loose due to worn threads of the screw post,

This highly uncommon badge is not shown in "Avers 8". Known among Russian-speaking collectors as the "Mourning for Lenin" badge, it was probably issued to commemorate an anniversary of Lenin's death, possibly the 3rd anniversary in 1928.
