The medal is practically free of wear visible even under a 10x magnification; its details are perfect and exceptionally crisp. The finish is exceptionally bright and nearly pristine, having only a tiny amount of tarnish on the reverse that adds character.

Comes on an aluminum suspension with perfectly preserved, clean vintage ribbon. The connecting link appears to be of the period. Overall, a superb example of the "Voenkomat" version of the Capture of Berlin medal.
