The Tunic is double-breasted, in wave blue wool gabardine with red piping and gold embroidery on lapels and cuffs. Gold tress shoulder boards are piped in red with and have embroidered gold stars. Inside pocket once had a sewn-in label of a tailor shop which was later torn off, probably when dry-cleaning (without damaging the surrounding silk liner). The Mosshtamp marked buttons are dated 1980 indicating early- to mid-1980s as the likely period of manufacture. The liner has clearly visible traces of decorations and badges that were once worn on the right breast. The tunic

The tunic is Medium / Large size, about US size with sleeves. the chest measures approximately 41.5", the sleeves (from cuff to shoulder seam) are 27.5" long; the length from top of collar to bottom hem is 30".

The Trousers are straight-legged, in matching wave blue gabardine fabric with broad red stripes. Approximately 41" long, waist about 36", inseam about 32".

Both the tunic and breeches are in excellent, factory fresh condition. No moth nips can be found anywhere, and the liner is perfectly clean on both pieces. This is just an all-around excellent uniform for the late Cold War / Afghan War era military display.
