In very good condition. There are two small moth bites to the red wool, neither of them very conspicuous. There are also a few even smaller, barely noticeable moth nips to the white piping near the left temple area. The black crown is completely free of noticeable moth bites or tracks. The hat has kept its shape very well, not squished in storage as is often the case. The exterior is very clean having only a minimal amount of storage dust that may clean off nicely. The liner shows some sweat stains. There is also a small amount of soiling to the lower edge of the band in the back, not noticeable when the hat is worn.
Overall, a well-preserved piece. This uncommon and distinctive hat will display very nicely.
