Order of Friendship of Nations, #35197, with award document (order booklet), awarded on 16 July 1986 to Mikhail Voronetskiy.

Silver gilt, enamels; Medallion measures 51.0 mm tall (incl. the eyelet), 47.0 mm wide; weighs 40.7 g not including the suspension and connecting link. Superb quality decoration of riveted multi-piece construction.

In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel is literally flawless, free of any traces of wear that could be detected even under a 10x magnification. The details of the artwork and starburst are likewise pristine. The original fire gilt finish on the rays and USSR state seal is nicely preserved although partly overtaken by attractive silver patina.

The order includes the original suspension device, a two-layer model in aluminum with old but immaculately clean ribbon. The connecting link between the badge and suspension appears to be original and its ends are still joined with solder. To summarize, this is a superb example through and through - literally impossible to upgrade.

The order booklet #375285 was issued on 29 July 1986. It is of the late style, with glossy cover showing a very brightly imprinted text and Soviet state emblem. The document contains only a single entry for the Friendship of Nations and unlike the order booklets of earlier format, shows the date of bestowal of the decoration.

The document is in excellent condition. The front is pristine while the back cover shows only minimal wear, no damage. The binding is tight. The internal pages are clean and crisp.

Overall, a superb documented set.
