Silver Medal of a Magna Cum Laude high school graduate, Ukrainian SSR, Type 4, with original storage / issue cardboard box, 1986 - early 1990s.
In silver-plated brass; measures 40.1 mm in diameter. A curious feature of this version of the Ukrainian graduation medal is that it has a punctuation error: omitted comma in the inscription "For Achievements in Studies Labor and Exemplary Behavior".
In mint uncirculated condition. There are only occasional tiny spots of tarnish, but the silver finish remains pristine and bright. The medal comes with original cardboard box marked "УССР" ("Ukrainian SSR") and still containing the original oilpaper wrapper, exactly as it left the factory.
