In gold-plated brass and "cold" enamels; the medallion measures 47.8 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 34.6 mm in width; weighs 36.9 g not including the suspension and connecting link. A massive and attractive piece although of somewhat lesser quality than the earlier issued with "hot-baked" enamels. Features a Soviet-style suspension device.
In excellent condition. The enamel is perfect; the gilt finish is bright throughout. There are some minor dings on the reverse from normal wear, not detractive. Comes on original suspension, a single-layer model in aluminum. The old ribbon
