Aluminum, paint, lacquer; medallion is 36.7 mm wide. The reverse of the suspension shows raised maker mark. The reverse of the medallion bears inscription "For Service in KGB Border Guards Troops of the USSR".
In very fine to excellent condition. There are minor scuffs and scratches to the lacquer finish on the border guard's figure, but its details remain perfect. Due to the fragility of the finish, these medals usually show much more wear than our example.
The medal was probably issued to conscripts in the district when they were being released from act
