Danila the Master Craftsman and His Vase (aka "The Potter"), large composition in porcelain by Sysert Ceramic Goods Factory, 1968-1977.
Very impressive piece measuring approx. 8" (20 cm) tall, 6 ¼" x 3 ¼" at the base. This figurine is based on the P. Bazhov's fairytale Stone Flower. In excellent condition. The glaze, including the highly reflective mirror-like surfaces of the vase and workman's apron, is perfectly preserved and free of scuffs. This figurine can be a nice display centerpiece or, if desired, serve as a unique vase or possibly even a candlestick (with some necessary precautions so as not to damage the glaze).
/Trademark #679 in Vol. 1 of Marks on Soviet Porcelain, Faienc
