Brass, enamels. Measures 45.2 mm in height, 30.9 mm in width. This relatively scarce variation features serial number in the upper right part of the reverse, along the edge. The construction of the reverse is noticeably different from the far more common earlier versions of the badge.
In outstanding, excellent condition. The enamel in particular is exceptionally well preserved: it is completely free of any wear noticeable by the naked eye, has only a few microscopic contact marks, and shows magnificent luster throughout. Details of the locomotive and the ornament along the edge are likewise perfect and beautifully crisp; practically all the silver finish on the obverse is still intact, and even the original gilt on the sheaf of wheat is still pristine and bright. The gilt finish on the reverse is likewise intact. The screw post is full length, over 11.5 mm (measured from the flat surface of the reverse). Includes original screw plate marked "ShMZ-D MPS" (Mechanical Stamping Factory, Ministry of Transportation). This superb example of Honored Railway badge is literally impossible to upgrade!
