Brass, paint; the medallion measures 34.0 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 29.8 mm in width. The obverse features mythical horse Chollima (or Chkhollima) which possessed supernatural powers. In very fine condition. The paint is nicely preserved, free of chips or flaking. The center medallion shows moderate wear to the raised points but most of its details are well-defined. Much of the original "gilt" mint luster is still present in recessed areas on both sides. The pin attachment is intact. An uncommon, relatively early piece.
