Six-sided slip-on type, measure 137 mm x 58 mm (approx. 5" x 2"), in gold tress with stars in silver bullion embroidery and black cloth lining. Semi-soft construction.

The black backing material of the boards is in almost immaculate condition. The long attachment straps have areas damaged by insects but they are still sound and functional; both of the cross-straps are present although one has separated on one end (which should be an easy repair project if desired.) One of the boards still has what appear to be remnants of some kind of paper label.

Overall, attractive shoulder boards that have obviously seen service use but are still in very presentable condition. A matching pair of WW1 Russian naval officer shoulder straps is a very uncommon find!
