Parachute Jump Badge, by the MTKh Enamel Factory, circa late 1940s- early 50s.

Brass, enamels; measures 39.7 mm in height; 17.4 mm in width. Shorter version featuring more detailed image of the paratrooper with outstretched arms and partial inside view of the parachute canopy.

In excellent condition, outstanding for this scarce version of the paratrooper badge. The enamel is essentially perfect showing beautiful luster; there are only microscopic contact marks unnoticeable to the naked eye, no significant wear of any kind. The gilt finish on the reverse is very nicely preserved and bright. The screw post is over 9.5 mm long, has not been

Comes with original screw plate maker marked "MTKh (Moscow Artists Cooperative) Enamels Factory". Note that the bright gilt finish on the screw plate perfectly matches the reverse of the badge. A superb example through and through.
