Vase in Milk Glass featuring a Horse Tamer Statue at the Anichkov Bridge in Leningrad, circa 1950s-60s.

Measures 10" (25 cm) tall; the base is approx. 3 " in diameter. The attractive vignette in reddish brown tone shows one of the four famous Horse Tamer statues at the Anichkov Bridge in the center of Leningrad. Two of the original models were created in as early as 1830s by Peter Clodt von Jurgensburg, and the "Clod's Horses" are to this day among the most beloved and recognizable of all St. Petersburg landmarks.

In very good condition. No cracks or scratches although there is a single tiny chip at the upper edge, nearly unnoticeable. The artwork and original gloss are perfect.
