Zorki 35mm Rangefinder Camera with Original Collapsible Industar-22 Lens, Copy of Leica Design, by KMZ, Krasnogorsk Factory, 1949-52.
The camera measures approx. 5 ¼" (W) x 2 ¾" (H) x 2" (D, with the lens collapsed and lens cap on). Weight is a little over 1 lb. This is the first model of the Zorki camera, which did not have the number "1" next to the brand name. Two things allowed us to narrow down the years of manufacture: (1) the threaded opening in the shutter release button which appeared in 1949, and (2) the serial number format changed to seven digits in 1953. In terms of appearance, the camera shows no structural damage to the outside surfaces. Moderate wear to the black finish of the body is not too obvious. Brushed-chromed surfaces of the top and bottom parts show some age and storage wear, most of which can probably be cleaned with proper chemicals and patience. The outer rim of the rangefinder window is slightly bent both on the front and back, no visual effect on its lenses.
Mechanically, the camera has not been tested. It is offered purely as a collectible item; we assume no responsibility whatsoever for its mechanical condition.
